Hairitage by Rokah was born from my hands, my passion, and my heritage.

My name is Barakat, and I’ve been braiding hair for over 10 years. I started my journey as a mobile braider in Nigeria where doing hair wasn’t just a service — it was a connection to culture, confidence and community. When I moved to the UK in 2021, I continued braiding as a side hustle while working other jobs. But the love I had for making women feel beautiful never left me.

In 2025, I took a leap of faith and made hairstyling my full-time career. That’s how Hairitage by Rokah was truly born.

Today, my brand is a reflection of everything I’ve learned, loved and lived through. From my home-based studio, I offer professional personalised hair services with a focus on protective styling. This includes braids, twists, locs and natural styles, all tailored to each client with care and intention.

Hairitage by Rokah isn’t just a salon, It’s  a growing space built to support other women like me. I stock a carefully selected range of premium hair products including:
